Ready to print: le anteprime Durst a drupa 2024

In occasione della Pre-drupa 2024 Media Conference, Durst Group ha presentato le novità che caratterizzeranno la sua partecipazione alla fiera tedesca, all’insegna del motto “Ready to print from pixel to output”. Sul palcoscenico mondiale di Düsseldorf, infatti, il gruppo altoatesino presenterà in anteprima assoluta inedite innovazioni tecnologiche messe a punto per diversi settori, con un focus particolare sul mondo della cartotecnica.

Si parte dal lancio di P5 PACK, la nuova soluzione altamente automatizzata per la stampa digitale di espositori e imballaggi in cartone ondulato. Un sistema che coniuga la versatilità di P5 350 HS alla configurazione esclusiva per la decorazione di una vasta gamma di materiali abitualmente impiegati in ambito di in-store promotion (POP/POS). P5 PACK definisce nuovi standard in termini di qualità ed efficienza grazie a plus esclusivi tra cui il piano aspirato potenziato, le doppie guide motorizzate e l’innovativo sistema di carico e scarico completamente automatizzato.

Ma la vera rivoluzione in casa P5 sarà la nuova P5 SMP - acronimo di Super Multi Pass - per la produzione di alti volumi che farà il suo debutto ufficiale proprio in occasione di drupa. Questa inedita ibrida UV LED da 3,5 m è in grado di raggiungere l’impressionante produttività di 2000 mq/h e una capacità annua fino a 5 milioni di mq. Messa a punto potenziando al massimo tutti i plus che caratterizzano l’apprezzata tecnologia P5, la Super Multi Pass di Durst definisce nuovi standard per i settori del sign and display e degli imballaggi in cartone ondulato, proponendosi come valida alternativa alle stampanti single pass.

Novità firmate Durst anche sul fronte della stampa di etichette e imballaggi flessibili. Proprio a drupa verrà, infatti, presentata la nuova stampante ibrida Kjet che coniuga la tecnologia flessografica Dual Servo di Omet e l'efficienza di Durst TAU RCI per rispondere alla crescente richiesta del mercato di sistemi per produzioni end-to-end. Il risultato è una soluzione innovativa che ridefinisce l’esperienza degli operatori del comparto label, offrendo semplicità d’uso, riduzione dei tempi di configurazione e massima ottimizzazione dei costi, ampliando ulteriormente i confini della stampa digitale.

Ad affiancare Durst sul palcoscenico di drupa ci sarà anche Koenig & Bauer per presentare alcune delle più recenti innovazioni frutto della joint venture tra le due aziende. In ambito hardware, a Düsseldorf i riflettori saranno puntati in particolare su VariJET, la prima stampante industriale per astucci pieghevoli in formato B1 che opera completamente in digitale, ma può lavorare in linea con stazioni flessografiche e offset.

Sul fronte degli inchiostri, la più attesa novità firmata KBA-Durst sarà la presentazione del primo inchiostro bianco a base acqua sviluppato specificatamente per la stampa su cartone ondulato. Una formulazione esclusiva, frutto del consolidato know how intersettoriale di Durst in ambito di inchiostri per la cartotecnica. Disponibile esclusivamente per il sistema SPC 130, il nuovo bianco base acqua vanta un’eccezionale opacità ed è idoneo all’utilizzo per imballaggi alimentari primari, ampliando significativamente le possibilità applicative.

"READY TO PRINT" WITH DURST

Under the motto “Ready to print from pixel to output”, drupa represents for Durst the most important opportunity to explain its pixel-to-output approach that aims to maximize the efficiency of the digital production.

With the P5 PACK series, the Durst Group is launching a printing solution that is specially tailored to the production of corrugated displays and packaging. The P5 350 HS PACK combines the well-known versatility of a P5 hybrid printing system with the ability to print on a wide range of materials used in the POP/POS and retail markets. Durst has once again set a benchmark in terms of quality and efficiency.

Maximum efficiency thanks automation
The P5 PACK series is equipped with all the functions that enable efficient print production of corrugated boards. An innovative material guide and pressure rollers system aim to ease production.
Automated corrugated edge holders avoid collisions between the print heads and the substrates. The width and height are set automatically by simply selecting the media channel in the software, which significantly reduces set-up time. In addition, a powerful vacuum system increases the suction power on the print belt by up to 40% compared to the conventional systems. This means that even heavy and warped corrugated boards can be flattened and printed cleanly. The P5 PACK series includes the sensor-controlled Multitrack 6 function.
Managed by 6 independent printing queues, this enables up to 6 corrugated boards to be printed in parallel by manual feeding. Starting with software for the print file creation, up to the finishing process, the automation of the production processes plays a major role. In this context, the P5 350 HS PACK can be combined with the Durst Automat MT. With this new solution for the automatic feeding and stacking of boards, up to 4 lanes can be processed in parallel. The multi-lane operation of the Automat MT works together with the Multitrack 6 function of the P5 350 HS PACK. Finely tuned movements of the suction elements in combination with a reinforced blow and brush bar result in clean and fast media separation, even with difficult synthetic boards and thin substrates. Continuous and stable production is ensured by pneumatically controlled flaps that prevent the materials from slipping during the loading and unloading process.
For the label printing and flexible packaging industry, Durst will showcase new solutions at drupa. Durst is launching a new machine – the KJet – which is the perfect combination of a Dual-Servo cylinder based flexo unit by Omet combined with the robustness, efficiency and productivity of the Durst TAU RSCi digital print engine.

A technology born from synergy
Koenig & Bauer Durst will unveil the VariJET 106 in public for the first time. Koenig & Bauer Durst’s single-pass digital VariJET106 for folding carton markets press will be shown in a hybrid configuration linked to Koenig & Bauer’s industry-acclaimed Rapida offset press technology and workflow. The production story will also include latest die cutting and folding gluer technology.
The market-proven Delta SPC 130 used in corrugated markets – another family member in Koenig & Bauer Durst’s single pass digital sheet-fed press portfolio – will also be an important focus at drupa. A control station will be set up on the stand to demonstrate how the Delta SPC 130 works in a production environment utilizing Durst Workflow and Durst Analytics.
